CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BY: MAYOR ID BOYLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95-147 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAirOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREIIIIENT <br />WITH OHIO COUNCIL 8 AND LOCAL #2681 OF TF1E AMERICAN FEDER.ATION <br />OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL W IAYEE5, COVERING CLERICAL AND <br />TECHNICAL IIKPLOYEES, AND DECLARING AN 24ERGE1VCY. <br />WBEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreeirlents with public employees; and <br />WBEREAS, the Clerical and Technical employees of the City of North Olmsted, <br />through Ohio Council 8 and Local #268I of the American Federation of State, County <br />and Municipal Fmployeesy has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for <br />the Clerical and Technical employees; and <br />WBEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the Clerical and Technical <br />employees and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satisfactory to <br />the aciministration; and <br />WBEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter Znto <br />the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the aclministration. <br />NOW, TFIEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THEE COUNCIL OF TfiE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with Ohio Council 8 and <br />Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees, a <br />copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked, <br />"Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and a11 wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be July 1, 1995 through June 30, 1998. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1995 and <br />thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />immediately after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />s" 'B ARA L.
