This Shall not prohibit the use of equalization tanks utilized to regulate <br />flows. <br />(f) Supplementary Limitations No discharger shall discharge wastewater <br />containing concentrations of the following enumerated materials, exceeding the following <br />values: <br />Material Mu/-L <br />Arsenic 0.2 <br />Cadmium 2.0 <br />Chromium, Total 2.0 <br />Copper 1.0 <br />Cyanide, Total 2.0 <br />Iron 15.0 <br />Lead 0.5 <br />Mercury 0.01 <br />Nickel 3.0 <br />Phenols 10.0 <br />Selenium 0.2 <br />Silver 2.0 <br />Toxic Organics, Any One Solvent 0.4 <br />Toxic Organics, Total 2.5 <br />The Service Director may impose mass limit4tions on dischargers when deemed <br />appropriate by the City. The Director may also convert Categorical Pretreatment <br />Standards expressed in terms of mass to equivalent concentration limits when deemed <br />appropriate. <br />Mass limitations on dischargers are intended to prevent the use of dilution to meet <br />the pretreatment standards or requirements of the Codified Ordinances, or in other cases <br />where the imposition of mass limitations is deemed appropriate by the City." <br />Be and the same is hereby amended, and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"917.02 LIMITATIONS ON WASTEWATER STRENGTH <br />(a) All dischargers shall comply with Section 911.12. <br />(b) National Cate,gorical Pretreatment Standards. National categorical <br />pretreatment standards as promulgated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <br />(EPA) pursuant to the Act shall be met by all dischargers. An application for <br />modification of the national categorical pretreatment standards may be considered for <br />submittal to the Regional Administrator by the City when the City's wastewater treatment <br />system achieves consistent removal of the pollutants as defined by 40 CFR 403.7.
