SECTION 2: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for various <br />employees in the Engineering Department. <br />From TO <br />1995 199 1997 <br />A. Traffic Control Equip. Repair 6.00 19.85 20.54 21.16 (per hour) <br />B. The salaries of individuals within Subsection A of this section shall be established by <br />the Director of Public Service and the Mayor. <br />SECTION 3: That pay rate ranges for years after 1997 will be increased no more <br />than the annual increase per the Consumer Price Index for Wage Earners and Clerical <br />Workers within the Cleveland Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area. This may be <br />referred to as the CPIW within the Cleveland CMSA. <br />SECTION 4: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no <br />earlier than January 1 st of the respective year. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall <br />be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 5: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or <br />Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the Public Health, Safety and <br />Welfare and for the future reason it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and <br />bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further, provided it <br />received the affirmative vote of two thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
