t <br />t <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95- 91 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKay <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE COLLECTION OF ALL SLUDGE PICKUP <br />AT THE NORTH OLMSTED WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the current contract for sludge pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />for the City of North Olmsted will expire on December 31, 1995, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to have the Director of <br />Public Service advertise for bids for the purpose of entering into a new contract with a <br />private hauler to perform the service of sludge pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COIJNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the collection of all sludge pickup at the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant in the City of North Olmsted in accordance with specifications now on file in his <br />office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to provide for the cleanliness of the City of North Olmsted, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
