'?r <br />?? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION #95-86 <br />BY: COUNCILMAN MCKAY <br />(J ?? <br />• ?? iNqc <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TBE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE COLLECTION OF ALL SOLID <br />WASTE AND RECYCLING IN TBE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />AUTHORIZING TIAE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the current contract for solid waste pickup and recycling for the City of <br />North Olmsted will expire on December 31, 1995, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to have the Director of <br />Public Service advertise for bids for the purpose of entering into a new contract with a <br />private hauler to perform the service of solid waste pickup and recycling. <br />NOW, TBEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the collection of all solid waste pickup and recycling in the City of <br />North Olmsted 'm accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is immed.iately <br />necessary to provide for the cleanliness of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />I
