CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-59 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGN/Z/NG MAY4, 1995 AS THE NATIONAL DAYOF <br />PRAYER AND DECLAR/NG AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, The Nationa/ Day of Prayer was proc/aimed by the <br />Continenta/ Congress in 1775; and <br />WHEREAS.. In 1988, both Houses of Congress ratified /egislation setting <br />aside the Nationa/ Day of Prayer for the first Thursday of every May; and <br />WHEREAS, Residents of No?th O/msted will join their fellow Americans in <br />a moment of silent prayer for our nation on May 4, 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, As residents and /eaders in the City of North O/msted, we <br />humbly acknowledge our dependence upon God for wisdom, courage and <br />power. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the desire of this Administration and City Council <br />to recognize May 4, 1995 as the Nationa/ Day of Prayer. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from <br />st period allowed by law. <br />and after t Tl'? <br />: ? <br />PASSED <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara Seman, Olerk of Council <br />APPROVED: Sf 9? <br />_ _---? -, <br />Ed Boyle, y <br />ames D.
