CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-51 <br />BY: TIiE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION CONIlVENDING TBE ACHIEVEMENT BY <br />MATTHEW HARTMAN <br />OF TBE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their <br />dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration fu.rther recognize that those <br />participating in Scouting, both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the <br />community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout <br />Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and <br />WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to Scouting to <br />such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy <br />accomplishment; and <br />WHEREAS, MATTHEW HARTMAN, as a member of Boy Scout Troop 664, <br />has served his fellow Scouts as a Den Chiet Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader and <br />Troop Guide; and <br />WBEREAS, MATTBEW HARTMAN, was an active Scout participating in <br />Webeloes Weekend, Memorial Day Parade, All Scouts Weekend and was an Honorary <br />Official during All Scouts Weekend; and <br />WHEREAS, MATTHEW HARTMAN, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award <br />earned thiity Merit Badges; and <br />WI-IEREAS, MATTI-EW is currently attending Olmsted Falls High School where <br />he is an active participant in Marching Band and Key Club, was honored as an English <br />Student of the Month and the 1992 Student of the Year, received the First Place Award in <br />Brass Choir Solo and is certified in CPR and First Aid; and <br />WHEREAS, the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by MATT'HEW HARTMAN <br />is a noteworthy accomplishment deserving of the congratulations of the entire community. <br />
