<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-40 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE "NONE FOR UNDER 21" CAMPAIGN, <br />AND DECLAR/NG AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, The Ohio Department of Public Safety is sponsoring a"None <br />for Under 2 1 " Campaign during the week of April 24-28, 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, This week has been designated as "Memoria/ Week," which <br />is a statewide effort to remember the young peop/e killed in alcohol-re/ated traffic <br />crashes; and <br />WHEREAS.. Through this effort we hope to increase the awareness and <br />make sure that these sense/ess deaths don't happen to more young people; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Drinking and driving is the /eading cause of death among <br />peop/e under the age of 21; and <br />WHEREAS, We want to remind students that if they are under 21 years <br />of age and drinking they are breaking the /aw. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the desire of this Administration and City Council to <br />urge all residents to use Memoria/ Week as a time to remember the young <br />peop/e killed in alcohol-re/ated traffic crashes. <br />SECTION 2: That this Administration and City Council supports programs <br />aimed at the prevention of drinking and driving. <br />
