CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 95 - 5 BY: Councilman Dean McKav A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CATCH BASIN, MANHOLE, SIDEWALK, CURBING AND PAVEMENT REPAIRS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared for catch basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at various locations in the City of North Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the safety and welfare of the public to construct the aforesaid improvements, and WHEREAS, this Council having been advised of the recommendation of the City Engineer is desirous of having the Director of Public Service advertise for bids in accordance with the plans and specifications now in his office for the purpose of catch basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and is hereby authorized to advertise for the bids for the repair of catch basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at various locations in the City of North Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety corrective actions in order to insure the health, safety and welfare of the residents, and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
