A%W <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 95-03 <br />BY : OR BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE AU'IIiORIZING THE MAYOR-, IINTER INTO E1N AGREFMENT <br />WITH TfiE OHIO PATROLt+iW' S BENEVOLEASSaCIATION, WfIIQi AGREIIMENT <br />IS 7giE COLLECTIVE BARGAlNING AGRM1ENT BETWEIN THE CITY AND TiE <br />NORTEi OLMSTID CORRECTION 0FFICERS, AND DECLARING AN II`4ERGEDTCY• <br />WI-iEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHIItEAS, the Correction Officers through the Ohio PatroLnen's Benevolent <br />Association has been recogni.zed as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Correction <br />Officers; and <br />wfiFRFAS, the Administration has bargai.ned with the members of the Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and concluded that bargaini.ng with an agreement <br />which is satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WHII2EAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into <br />the Collective Bargaining 1g-reement which has been negotiated by the administration. <br />NOW, TEMEFORE, BE IT ORDAINID BY THE COUIdCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the Ohio <br />Patrolmen`s Benevolent Association, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof and marked, "Fxhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be January l, 1995 through December 31, 1997. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is deelared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />imQnediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1995 and <br />thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in fu:11 force and effect from and <br />immediately after its passage and approval by the Ma,yor. <br />PASSID:A, <br />ATTF,? <br />y?zt--- <br />AREARA L.
