a <br />Za <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~~ <br />B Y : _~ t ,Nr'~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION <br />OF THE PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO BE ELECTED, <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the amount of time necessary <br />to effectively carry out the duties of the President of Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted is augmented by new citizens moving into the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has determined that <br />the compensation of the President of Council in the City of North Olmsted <br />should be increased commensurate with the compensation paid to elected <br />Presidents of Council in other adjoining communities; and <br />WHEREAS, Council has accepted the recommendations of the Finance <br />Committee of Council and hereby wishes to increase the compensation of the <br />President of Council elected in the municipal election to be held in 1973, all <br />in accordance with Article IV, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. Council does hereby establish, for the purpose of nominating <br />and electing the President of Council of the City of North Olmsted and fixing the <br />compensation of the President of Council to be elected in the municipal election <br />in 1973, that the salary of the President of Council to be filled January 1, 1974, <br />shall be $2, 900.00. <br />Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances, or resolutions of <br />parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, <br />and especially Ordinance No. 64-230, enacted November 4, 1964, are hereby <br />repealed effective January 1, 1974. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Board of Elections, certified and conformed, <br />and to the Director of Finance and the President of Council. <br />Section 4. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force at the earliest date permitted by Article IV, Section 12 of the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />PASSED: ~~,t~,s, /,~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~~. <br />,~ ,~~ ~. <br />Nora T.
