CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72- ~~~ <br />BY: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH UNION OIL COMPANY, FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF LAND, BUILDINGS, AND IMPROVEMENTS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has been advised that <br />the property known as the "Union Oil Company" is for sale; and <br />WHEREAS, the location of the property is necessary and ideal for <br />the expansion of municipal operations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmstead, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby a~t~axiar~e~ t•o enter <br />into agreement for purchase of land, buildings, and improvem~ersts for <br />property known as Union Oil Company of California, located at the. northeast <br />corner of Olmsted Court and Lorain Road providing the purchase price is <br />not over $92,700. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby. declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the presentation of the public peace, <br />safety, health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the <br />purchase of this property is necessary as a part of the general-plan of <br />the City Hall Site and contiguous to the property known as the "Sealtest" <br />property previously purchased by the City.
