p <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 72- ~i,'~O <br />BY: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />FINANCE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR AN AUTO- <br />MATIC ACCOUNTING MACHINE TO BE USED IN <br />THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the automatice accounting machine in the Finance Department is <br />antiquated and worn out ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has been advised that the cost <br />of repairing the automatic accounting machine would far exceed its value and its <br />usefulness ;and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to authorize the Director e~f Finance to <br />advertise for bids for a new automatic. accounting machine. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That the Director of Finance is authorized to advertise for bids <br />for a new automatic accounting machine for use in the Finance Department according <br />to the specifications now on file in the Finance Department, and that upon approval <br />by the Board of Control he Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. That $iis Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the present automatice accounting <br />machine is to#~lly unreliable in recording of numbers requiring additional cost <br />to be expended for time and materials. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: / ,'~`;L ~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~~ <br />Nora T.
