~. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72-125 <br />BY : ~ ,~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DTRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS TO INCREASE THE <br />PUMPING CAPACITY OF THE LE BERN LIFT STATION AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the waste water lines of the general, North East Section <br />of North Olmsted enter into the Le Bern Lift Station; and <br />WHEREAS, the contributory area has developed to the point that the <br />additional waste water requires that additional pumping capacity be incorporated <br />into the existing Lift Station; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by the Director of Public Service <br />that it is necessary to make certain additions and alterations to said Lift <br />Station; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the City is in need of the <br />increased pumping capacity; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the additions and alterations to said <br />Lift Station, to furnish labor, all necessary materials and equipment, as <br />set forth in the approved plans and specifications on file in his office. <br />That the funds for payment for said contract be set aside in the Sewer Revenue <br />Fund, and that upon the awarding of the contract by the Board of Control of <br />the City of North Olmsted, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to do <br />anything necessary to effectuate said contract. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the <br />citizens of North Olmsted by virtue of the fact that the immediate improvement <br />of the Lift Station is necessary to protect the health of the inhabitants of <br />the City. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: /.;/,fir.. <br />ATTEST: <br />~/~~ <br />Nora T.
