~,. <br />_~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72-102 <br />,. ~~r~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />NEGOTIATE FOR THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE <br />UNIT. OIL COMPANY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has been advised <br />that the property known as the "Union Oil Company" is for sale; and <br />WHEREAS, the location of the property is necessary and ideal <br />for the expansion of municipal operations; and <br />WHEREAS, the growth of. the City of North Olmsted requires <br />additional facilities for municipal operations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the city of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be hereby authorized to enter into <br />negotiations for the purchase of part or all of the real property known <br />as the Union Oil Company of California, located at the northeast corner <br />of Olmsted Court and Lorain Road, and to report the result of said <br />negotiations to Council. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, <br />safety, health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the <br />purchase of this property is necessary as apart of the general plan of <br />the City Hall Site and contiguous to the property known as the "Sealtest" <br />property previously purchased by the City.
