n.,~::. <br />,~~: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 72- ~~p <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWO HUNDRED <br />AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) FOR THE <br />INDEPENDENCE DAY PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a <br />patriotic program on July 4, 1972, in observance of the historical and <br />traditional importance of Independence Day; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that Council <br />authorize the expenditure of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for <br />fireworks for the Fourth of July Celebration; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council feels. that such a program is important <br />and a vital part of the recreation program of the City of North Olmsted <br />for its residents and especially for the children of the residents, and <br />further has determined that the City of North Olmsted for this reason <br />should spend Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for the costs of this <br />program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund the <br />sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) to apply on the cost of the <br />Independence Day program; that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />to pay said sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) to the North Olmsted <br />Chamber of Commerce as sponsors of this program. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, health, safety, and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that <br />in order to provide the July Fourth Program said contribution towards the <br />purchase of the fireworks display must be in effect prior to July 1, 1972. <br />WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: w,i0 <br />ATTEST: <br />/. /K%~ <br />~~~~~~ <br />Nora T.
