~~ <br />°~,~, , <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 72 - ~~ <br />BY ~. <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPE~TSATiON <br />TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 71-64, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City <br />of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council thereby <br />requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the <br />duties of the Clerk of Council; and <br />WH$Rf'AS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase <br />the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the <br />position of Clerk of Council as a full-time fob. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the <br />Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full-time <br />position and effective April 1, 1972, the compensation to be paid to the <br />said Clerk of Council, shall be between the sum of Fitr~[~Thousand three <br />hundred fifty and 00/10 ($5,350.00) Dollars to Seven thousand three <br />hundred and thirty eight and 00/100 ($7,338.00) Dollars annually. <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and is hereb~-~directed <br />and authorized to pay to the Clerk of Council a suit which shall be <br />extablished between Five thousand three hundred fifty and 00/100 ($5,350.00) <br />Dollars to Seven thousand three hundred thirty eight and 00/i00 ($7,33$.00), <br />Dollars annually, in bi-weetc3.y installments for the services performed <br />by said Clerk of Council, which shall be those services required to be <br />performed by the Clerk of Council under the Charter of the City and for <br />those services as shall from time to time are determined to be necessary <br />to be performed by the Clerk of Council and which at this time include as <br />heretofore determined by Council, the necessity of preparing a list of names <br />and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for anya.assessm~nt <br />proceedings determined to be necessary by Council, and the names and addresses <br />of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices <br />required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements <br />authorized by Council. <br />Section 3: The Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity <br />increment, the sum of $25.00 for each and every year said Clerk has <br />been continually employed by the City of North Olsrated. To be paid in a <br />lump sum on anniversary date of employment. <br />Section 4; That for the Clerk of Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted shill pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per tenth towards <br />the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalisation and Medical Mutual pre~.ums of said <br />employees, as established by Contract 53 YK, and Contract 57 ZK. <br />Section 5: That the full time Clerk of Council of the Gity of Nort~# <br />Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work <br />by Council or the Mayor in emergencies; New Years Day; Memorial I1sy; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; and the <br />employee's birthday. <br />Section 6: That the full time Clerk of Council shall be entitled <br />to an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation <br />
