CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~ PAGE 3 <br />of the Police Department, excluding Auxiliary Police and School Guards, and in the <br />event any full time employee of the Police Department is married or is the head of <br />the family the City of North Olmsted shall contribute an a~;ditanal sum of $260.00 <br />per year towards the cost of a family hospitalization plan with B1ueCross and Medical <br />Mutual ,both single persons hospitalization and family hospitalization plans shall <br />be established by Contracts S3YK and 57ZK. <br />G. That all full time employees of the North Olmsted Police Department, <br />excluding, secretarial and c~rical help, shall be entitled to certain h+~lidays during the <br />year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by <br />the Chief of Police. In the e~rent the employee works on one of the following holidays, <br />the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked. <br />The scheduled holidays are as follows :New Year's Day ;Memorial Day ;Independence <br />Day :Labor Day ;Thanksgiving Day ;Christmas Day ;the employee's birthday, and <br />the employee's personal use day, this provision doe not apply to Auxiliary Folice or <br />School Guards . <br />H. That all ful time secretarial and clerical help shall be entitled to <br />certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on thew holidays, <br />unless scheduled to wor)C by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee works <br />on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from <br />work to replace the holiday she worked. The scheduled holidays are as follows : <br />New Year's Day ; Memorial Day ;Independence Day ;Labor Day ; Thanksgiving Day ; <br />Christmas Day ;the employee's birthday. <br />I. That all full time employees of the Police Department shall be <br />entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service . <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. <br />Section 3. That the employees of the Police Department of the City of North <br />Olmsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day, fof per diem expenses while <br />in attendance at the Police Ttaining School established by the Cuyahoga County <br />Commiss~i oners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two (2) week <br />period with ten (10) days class attendance. <br />Section 4. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of resolutions <br />or parts of ordinances, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, <br />and especially Ordinance No. 71-149, enacted November 3, 1971, are hereby re- <br />pealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 5. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward <br />a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Di~ctor of Finance <br />can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth , and a copy of this Ordinance to <br />the Chief of Police. <br />Section 6. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force at <br />the earliest date permitted by Article IV, Section 12 of the Charter of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />PASSED: C <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
