CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~ PAGE 3 of the Police Department, excluding Auxiliary Police and School Guards, and in the event any full time employee of the Police Department is married or is the head of the family the City of North Olmsted shall contribute an a~;ditanal sum of $260.00 per year towards the cost of a family hospitalization plan with B1ueCross and Medical Mutual ,both single persons hospitalization and family hospitalization plans shall be established by Contracts S3YK and 57ZK. G. That all full time employees of the North Olmsted Police Department, excluding, secretarial and c~rical help, shall be entitled to certain h+~lidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the e~rent the employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked. The scheduled holidays are as follows :New Year's Day ;Memorial Day ;Independence Day :Labor Day ;Thanksgiving Day ;Christmas Day ;the employee's birthday, and the employee's personal use day, this provision doe not apply to Auxiliary Folice or School Guards . H. That all ful time secretarial and clerical help shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on thew holidays, unless scheduled to wor)C by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday she worked. The scheduled holidays are as follows : New Year's Day ; Memorial Day ;Independence Day ;Labor Day ; Thanksgiving Day ; Christmas Day ;the employee's birthday. I. That all full time employees of the Police Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service . Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. Section 3. That the employees of the Police Department of the City of North Olmsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day, fof per diem expenses while in attendance at the Police Ttaining School established by the Cuyahoga County Commiss~i oners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two (2) week period with ten (10) days class attendance. Section 4. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of resolutions or parts of ordinances, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 71-149, enacted November 3, 1971, are hereby re- pealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 5. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Di~ctor of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth , and a copy of this Ordinance to the Chief of Police. Section 6. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force at the earliest date permitted by Article IV, Section 12 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. PASSED: C ATTEST: Nora T.
