CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0. 72-31 BY G%~ _ ~.//~~a~ A RESOLUTION REQUESTING COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION ~~1 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1954 AS AMENDED FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED WITH THE HELP OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE. ANY AND ALL INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE ABOVE STATED PURP05E AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, it is Council`s intention to implement the comprehensive community plan of the City of North Olmsted by developing a master plan to promote the orderly growth of the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of North Olmsted has recommended to Council that the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission is the best qualified to assist in the development of the comprehensive Eommunity Assistance Program Grant; and WHEREAS, Council, in order to get assistance in the form of federal funds, wishes to apply to the Development Department, State of Ohio, for a 701 Community Assistance Program Grant; and WHEREAS; the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Couttnission will assist the City of North Olmsted in applying for a 701 Community Assistance Program Grant; and WfiEREAS; under the 701 Community Assistance Program Grant, the Develop tent Department, State of Ohio, will if approved, furnish at least one-half of the $22,100 necessary to pay the costs of a comprehensive community plan, and WHEREAS, Council wishes to apply for the 701 Community Assistance Program Grant and if said grant is approved to employ the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission to develop a comprehensive community plan for the City of North Olmsted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the Mayor in con3unction with the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission is hereby authorized to apply to the Ohio Development Department of the State of Ohio for a 701 Gommunity Assistance Program Grant and is further authorized to sign all applications and instruments necessary to apply for the aforesaid grai~tt. Section 2: That the Mayor in the event the City of North Olmsted receives a 701 Community Assistance Program Grant through the Ohio Development Department of the State of Ohio is hereby authorized to employ the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission to develop a comprehensive community plan for the City of North Olmsted and is further authorized to sign any and all instruments necessary to effectuate the employment of the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission for the above stated purpose.
