<br />~. <br />C <br />BY: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71- /,~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING <br />COMMISSIONER TO PROCEED WITH THE DEMO- <br />LITION OR REMOVAL OF THE DWELLINGS ON <br />PERMANENT PARCEL NO. 234-20-33, STEARNS <br />ROAD, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1331.01 X1331.99 of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building Commissioner <br />has determined that the abandoned dwellings known as Permanent Parcel No. 234- <br />20-33 and located at 5777 Stearns Road, North Olmsted, Ohio ,the record title <br />holder is Mr. Edmund Rejer, is unsafe, dangerous to human life and a hazard to <br />the safety, health and public welfare of the citizens of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove and demolish said buildings was served <br />by certified mail on said record title holder on July 21, 1971, ordering said title <br />holder to repair, remove or demolish said dwellings and to commence such repair, <br />removal or demoh.tion whin forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of said notice ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said notice informed the record title holder of his right to appeal <br />the condemantion order of the Building Commissioner within fifteen (15 ~ days ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said record title holder, Edmund Rejer, failed to file an appeal <br />within the fiftenn (15) days and has faded to comply with the order of the Building <br />Commissioner . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORIIDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the demolition <br />and removal of the dwellings or accessory buildings at 5777 Stearns Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, also known as Permanent Parcel No. 234-20-33, aavned by Edmund <br />Rejer, whose mailing address is Box 304 -Dundalk, Ontario, Canada, by reason <br />of the fact that said dwellings have been determined to be dangerous to human life <br />and a hazard to the public safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the City <br />of North Olmsted, and that the cost of said demolition and removal by paid from <br />the General Fund of the Cfty of North Olmsted and charged to the owner as a special <br />assessment or lien on said parcel of land, and assessed and collected in the manner <br />of other assessments as provided by law. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward <br />to Mr. Edmund Rejer at Box 304 -Dundalk, Ontario, Canada, a copy of this Ordinance. <br />
