Browne & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers to this City, and now on file is the office of the Clerk of Coil, be cad the sa~ae are hereby adapted and ccnf i:cd and that there be and are hereby levied and assessed open the lots and lands set forth 3a said list of final assessments the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments are in proportion to the special benefits and are not in excess of any statutory limitation. Section 2. That the assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall. be payable in cash within thirty days after the passage of this ordinance or at the option of the owner in twenty annual or forty, semi-annual. installments with in- terest at the same rate as shall. be borne by the bands to be issued in anticipa- tion of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall be made to the Director of F3,nance of this City. A11 assessments and installments thereof re- maining unpaid at the expiration of said thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of Council to the County Auditor as provided by limit to be placed by him ~ the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council shall cause a notice of the passage of this ordinance to be published ar~ce in a newspaper of general circulation in this City and to ccaritinue on file 3xi his office said revised assessments. Section 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby directed to deliver a certified copy of this ordinance to the County Auditor within twenty days after its passage. Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be as em,srgency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of said City and for the further reasoan that the immediate levy of such assess- ~nts is necessary to permit the issuance of bands to provide funds to retire outstanding notes and thereby protect the credit of the City; wherefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage sad approval by the Mayor.
