C <br />-3- <br />`~ '/ /~~' <br />Section 9. That in the event that such assessments are not <br />levied or bonds are not issued to provide a fund for the payment of said <br />notes at maturity, a general tax shall be levied against all of the pro- <br />perty in said City for the payment of such notes and the interest there- <br />on; provided, however, that daring the year or years while such notes run <br />there shall be levied on all the taxable property in said City, in addi- <br />tion to all other taxes, a direct tax annually not less than that which <br />would have been levied for the City's portion of said notes if bonds had <br />been issued therefor without the prior issue of said notes. <br />Section 10. The Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified <br />copy of this ordinance to the County Auditor. <br />Section 11. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure necessary for the i~oediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare of said City sad for the further reason that <br />the mediate issuance and sale of the notes herein authorized is neces- <br />sary to provide 2linds to enable the City to enter into a contract for <br />the construction of said improveaent which is urgently necessary to <br />eliminate existing hazards to pedestrian traffic using said streets; <br />wherefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />faaediately after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~C-r~ic._ ~/ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />c/Z~r-t.c..~ / <br />Horn T.
