<br />C~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OIMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~/-~~~ <br />BY a.e.~,~,~a <br />AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING TO PROCEED <br />WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS <br />AT CERTAIN IACATIONS ~ MAPLE RIDGE <br />ROAD, COLiNiBIA ROAD, EAST PARK DRNE <br />A1~D TERRACE DRIVE, AND DECLARI1tG AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio: <br />Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the con~truc- <br />tion of concrete sidewalks at those locations on Maple Ridge Road, Columbia Road, <br />East Park Drive and Terrace Drive specified 3.n Resolution No. 71-95, adapted <br />Jenne 15, 1871., where the property owners did not construct sidewalks p~auant to <br />the option contained in said resolution. <br />Section 2. That said sidewalks shall be constructed in accordance <br />with the provisions of Resolution No. 71-95, adopted June 15, 1971, and with the <br />plans, specifications, estimates and profiles heretofore approved and now on <br />file in the office of the Clerk of Council. <br />Section 3. Subject to the provisions of Section 727.24, Revised Code, <br />the Mayor of the City is hereby authorized and directed as soon as the Banda <br />therefor are available to make and execute a contract for said improvement with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertising according to law and the improvement <br />shall be financed as provided in the resolution of necessity. <br />Section 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby directed to deliver a <br />certified copy of this ordinance to the County Auditor within fifteen days after <br />its passage. <br />Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and <br />safety of said City and for the further reason that the immediate construction <br />of said sidewalks is necessary to eliminate existing hazards to pedestrians <br />using said streets; wherefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and immediately after its passage and approval by th Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~~ o?/, i~_ <br />Francis J.Q`Ne 11, President of Council <br />ATTEST• j~~~•v ~ ti~'~~~-~ <br />•Nora T.
