<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0: ~/-/~1 <br />BY <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />AHVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR NEW POLICE CAR <br />RADIOS AND RADIO EQUIPMENT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it has been reported to Council <br />by the Chief of Police that due to the necessity of adding <br />additional frequencies to the North Olmsted Police Depart- <br />ment's radio network in order to conform to the Countywide <br />plan for a Police Radio Network, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined more economical <br />to obtain new radio equipment instead of revamping the old, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for such <br />equipment is presently on file in the office of the Mayor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for radio equipment for the various Police <br />cars and the base station of the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />Section 2: Wherefore, this Resolution is hereby <br />declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate <br />preservation of the public welfare of the City of North Olmsted <br />and such emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of having <br />this new equipment in operation by December 31st, 1971. <br />Section 3: Wherefore, this Resolution shall <br />take effect immediately upon its passage and signature by the <br />Mayor, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: r G <br />~ ,, <br />~/~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Ifs <br />J t/~ <br />Nora T.
