<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71-10 6 <br />G' , <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWO HUNDRED <br />AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) FOR THE <br />INDEPENDENCE DAY PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING <br />AND EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a <br />patriotic program on July 4 , 19 71 in observance of the historical and traditional <br />importance of Independence Day ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that Council <br />authorize the expenditure of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for fireworks <br />for the Fourth of July Celebration ;and <br />WHEREAS, this Council feels that such a program is important and a <br />vital part of the recreation program of the City of North Olmsted for its residents <br />and especially for the children of the residents, and further has determined that <br />the City of North Olmsted for this reason should spend Two Hundred Fifty Dollars <br />( $250.00) for the costs of this program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund the sum of <br />TwoHundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) to apply on the cost of the Independence Day <br />program, that :the Director of Finance i s hereby authorized to pay said sum of Two <br />Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) to the North Olmsted Ghamber of Commerce as <br />sponsors of this program. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety, and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that in order to provide the <br />July Fourth Program said contribution torovards the purchase of the fireworks <br />display must be in effect prior to July 1, 1971.
