~~` <br />,``~ Mwr~r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINAA1t N0: 71- ~Q~ <br />r' <br />BY . <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR <br />OF SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF A RESCUE SQUAD VEHICLE FOR THE DIVISION <br />OF FIRE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED; <br />AUTHORIZING SAID SAFETY DIRECTOR TO APPLY <br />FOR AND RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE UNITED STATES <br />AND STATE OF OHIO AGENCIES TOWARD THE <br />PURCHASE OF SAID VEHICLE UNDER THE FEDERAL <br />HIGHWAY SAFETY ACT OF 1966 AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee and Council has determined <br />that the Division of Fire is in need of a Rescue Squad Vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS; the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966 in certain <br />instances provides for partial payment of said Rescue Squad Vehicle by <br />the Federal Government. ~ <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That the Safety Director be authorized to <br />advertise for a Rescue Squad Vehicle consisting of a cab chassis and <br />a rescue body for the Division of Fire of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2: That the Safety Director be authorized to <br />apply for and to receive funds from the appropriate Federal and State <br />Agencies under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966. <br />Section 3: That the moneyneeded to complete the afore- <br />said transaction shall be paid from funds heretofore appropriated. <br />Section 4; That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that the <br />acquisistion of said Rescue Squad Vehicle is immediately necessary for <br />the daily opera#ion of a municipal department; and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: a~~.~'.[.~-~ <br />ATTEST: /~ <br />../ , <br />Nora T.
