C <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 71-67 <br />BY__ /~~ ~1w'~'_ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR <br />SIX 1fEW EUSES FOR THE t10RTli OLMSTED <br />MUNICIPAL BUS LINE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the rolling stock of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line needs replacing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee of Council has <br />reported to Council that the needs of the Municipal Bus Line <br />are six (6) - 55 passenger buses; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has informed <br />Council that bonds to purchase the buses can be issued. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Service Director is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for six (6) - 55 passenger buses for the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line according to the plans and speci- <br />fications now on file in the office of the Service Director, and <br />that upon approval by the Board of Control the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the said passenger buses. <br />Section 2. WHEREFORE, this Resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, safety <br />health and welfare of the City, and which shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor; <br />otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~p ~1~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~~ <br />`i~~ .~ <br />Nora T.
