C <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION No. 71-66 <br />By: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REVAMPING THE EXISTING LIGHTING <br />SYSTEM AT THE BALL DIAMOND AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of North Olmsted <br />State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for revamping the existing light- <br />ing system at the ball diamond at North Olmsted Park by furnishing <br />floodlights, necessary poles and wiring, and circuit breaker panels, in <br />accordance with specifications on file in the office of the Director <br />of Public Service, and that upon approval by the Board of Control the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into~a contract and execute same on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted, said contract not to exceed the sum <br />of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00) and to be paid for out of the Parks & <br />Recreation Co~nission Capital Improvements Fund. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the citizens of North Olmsted by virtue of the fact that the <br />period of time when recreation areas are to be used is imminent and it <br />is necessary that the lighting system at the ball diamond at North 01m~ted <br />be revamped immediately in order that the ball diamond may be used during <br />the summer months.
