C CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 71-64 ,. ~:: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 67-175, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council thereby requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the duties of the Clerk of Council; and WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the position of Clerk of Council as a full-time job. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full- time position and effective April 1, 1971, the compensation to be paid to the said Clerk of Council, shall be between the sum of Four Thousand eight hundred fifteen and 00/100 ($4,815.00) Dollars to Six thousand two hundred and 00/100 ($6,200.00) Dollars annually. Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and is hereby directed and authorized to pay to the Clerk of Council a sum which shall be established between Four thousand eight hundred fifteen and 00/100 ($4,815.00) Dollars to Six thousand two hundred and 00/100 ($6,200.00), Dollars annually, in semi-monthly installments for the services performed by said Clerk of Council, which shall be those services ~eequired to be performed by the Clerk of Council under the Charter of the City and for those services as shall from time to time are determined to be necessary to be performed by the Clerk of Council and which at this time include as heretofore determined by Council, the necessity of preparing a list of names and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment proceedings determined to be necessary by Council, and the names and addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements authorized by Council. Section 3: The Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of $25.00 for each and every year said Clerk has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. Section 4: That for the Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said employees, as established by Contract 53 YK, and Contract 57 ZK. Section 5: That the full time Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work by Council or the Mayor in emergencies; New Years Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; and the employee's birthday. Section 6: That the full time Clerk of Council shall be entitled to an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation. Lbw .~~...,_
