C <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 71-64 <br /> <br />,. <br />~:: <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION <br />TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 67-175, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City <br />of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council <br />thereby requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry <br />out the duties of the Clerk of Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase <br />the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the <br />position of Clerk of Council as a full-time job. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the <br />Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full- <br />time position and effective April 1, 1971, the compensation to be paid <br />to the said Clerk of Council, shall be between the sum of Four Thousand <br />eight hundred fifteen and 00/100 ($4,815.00) Dollars to Six thousand <br />two hundred and 00/100 ($6,200.00) Dollars annually. <br />Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and is hereby directed <br />and authorized to pay to the Clerk of Council a sum which shall be <br />established between Four thousand eight hundred fifteen and 00/100 <br />($4,815.00) Dollars to Six thousand two hundred and 00/100 ($6,200.00), <br />Dollars annually, in semi-monthly installments for the services performed <br />by said Clerk of Council, which shall be those services ~eequired to be <br />performed by the Clerk of Council under the Charter of the City and for <br />those services as shall from time to time are determined to be necessary <br />to be performed by the Clerk of Council and which at this time include as <br />heretofore determined by Council, the necessity of preparing a list of names <br />and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment <br />proceedings determined to be necessary by Council, and the names and addresses <br />of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices <br />required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements <br />authorized by Council. <br />Section 3: The Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity <br />increment, the sum of $25.00 for each and every year said Clerk has <br />been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 4: That for the Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the <br />cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said <br />employees, as established by Contract 53 YK, and Contract 57 ZK. <br />Section 5: That the full time Clerk of Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work <br />by Council or the Mayor in emergencies; New Years Day; Memorial Day; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; and the <br />employee's birthday. <br />Section 6: That the full time Clerk of Council shall be entitled to <br />an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation. <br />Lbw .~~...,_ <br />
