<br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ALAN WARD ON
<br />THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EAGLE SCOUT
<br />AWARD.
<br />WHEREAS, Council has been apprised that the Eagle Award
<br />will be presented to Alan Ward of 24078 Frank Street, North
<br />Olmsted, Ohio, on March 7, 1971, at an Eagle Scout Court of
<br />Honor to be held at the Community Cabin, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward has attained the rank of
<br />Tenderfoot in November, 1965, Second Class in September, 1966,
<br />First Class in December, 1967, Star in October, 1968, Life in
<br />July, 1969, and now Eagle on December 10, 1970, of Troop 204, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward, was in Cub Scout Pack 204 for
<br />3 years, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Troop Librarian,
<br />Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Den Chief
<br />of Webelos Pack 204, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward, participated in Homecoming, Flag
<br />Day, Memorial Day Parade, All Scouts Day, Project Facelift, and,
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward is a Member of the Order of the
<br />Arrow, and,
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward is the recipient of the Paul Bunyan
<br />Award, Mile Swim Award, 50 Miler Afoot, 50 Miler Afloat, 70 mile
<br />Emerald Necklace Medal, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Alan Ward, participated in Troop 204 expedition
<br />to Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico, in 1969, and Tinnerman Canoe Base
<br />expedition in 1970, and
<br />WKRHEAS, said Alan Ward is a member of the Pr3Mie of Peace
<br />Lutheran Church, and
<br />WHEREAS, the parents of Alan Ward because of their activities
<br />in Scouting were named Mrs. Scouting in 1968 and Mr. Scouting in 1970,
<br />WHEREAS, .the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by this
<br />deserving and outstanding youth is a noteworthy accompl~,shment
<br />deserving of the accolade of the entire community,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br />North Olmsted, Ohio:
<br />Section 1. That this Council extends its heartiest congratu-
<br />lations and best wishes to Alan Ward and to his parents.
<br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby
<br />requested to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Alan Ward.
