<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71- 05 <br />BY• ~ '" <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A COAiTRACT WITH THE CITY OF <br />FAIRVIEW PARK FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASE <br />IN FARES ON THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL <br />BUS LINES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee of Council has advised <br />Council that an increase in fares on the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Lines, <br />effective March 1, 1971, in order that the bus lines can operate in an efficient <br />and economical manner ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fairview Park has met with the <br />Transportation Committee of Council and has approved the fare increase ;and <br />WHEREAS, said agreement is incorporated in a contract and/or supple- <br />mental contract between the two municipalities, which contract must be signed <br />by both Mayors of the cities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be and he i s hereby authorized to execute <br />a contract between the City of North Olmsted and the City of Fairview Park, which <br />contract calls for an increase of fares for passengers using said North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Lines. <br />Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, heaklth and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the fare increase has been established <br />and set up for March 1, 1971 and that this is the last Council meeting prior to <br />March 1, 1971.
