<br />BY: ~_ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71- <br />~`"~° <br />15 r' <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE INTER- <br />CHANGE OF THE POLICE PERSONNEL, POLICE <br />EQUIPMENT, AND THE POLICE SERVICES OF <br />THE POLICE DEPARTMENTS OF THE SIX COM- <br />MUNITIES OF; BAY VILLAGE, FAIRVIEW PARK, <br />LAKE'tl4TOOD, NORTH OLMSTED, ROGKY RIVER, <br />1~iD WESTLAKE, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be beeeficial to the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted to have the City join in a mutual assistance <br />agreement providing for the interchange and use of their respective personnel and <br />equipment with the following cities: <br />BAY VILLAGE, FAIRVIEW PARK, LAKEWOOD <br />ROCKY RIVER, AND WESTLAKE, OHIO. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, 9~ate of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute a <br />contract between the City of North Olmsted and the following cities :Bay Village, <br />Fairview Park, Lakewood, Rocky River and Westlake, Ohio, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and marked " Exhibit A " to provide for the interchange of, police <br />personnel, police equipment ,and police services. <br />Section 2. Thai this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that it is necessary that said <br />contract be executed immediately if the City is to have the b+saefit of the inter- <br />change of police personnel, police equipment, and police services of the various <br />communities. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force im- <br />mediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by ~lw. <br />PASSED: ~''~ Z ~ <br />ATTEST: <br />°~~ .~~ <br />Nora T.
