~~ <br />~; <br />:, _:., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71-/O <br />~~ <br />,- <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF <br />THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF THE CI~'Y TO BE <br />ELECTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determind that the amount of time necessary to <br />effectively carry out the duties of the Director of Finance of the City of North Olmsted <br />is increasing steadily as the population of the City is augmented by new citizens <br />moving into the City ;and <br />WHEREAS, Finance Committee of Council has determined that the compen- <br />sation of the Director of Finance in the City of North Olmsted should be increased <br />commensurate with the compensation paid to elected Directors of Finance in other <br />adjoining communities ;and <br />WHEREAS, Council has accepted the recommendations of the Finance <br />Committee and hereby wishes to increase the compensation of the Director of Finance <br />elected in the municipal election to be held in 1971, all in accordance with Article <br />IV, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio :' <br />Section 1. Council does hereby establish, for the purpose of nominating <br />and electing the Director of Finance of the City and fixing the compensation of the <br />Director of Finance to be elected in the municipal election in 19 71, that the salary <br />of the Director of Finance to be filled in the ?_election in 1971 shall be 513,000.00. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 69-11 , enacted January 21, 1969, and <br />any other ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance is hereby <br />repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby declared to forward to <br />the Board of Elections a certified and conformed copy of thiES Ordinance. <br />Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure sad such emergency exists by vitttte of establishing the salary 30 days <br />in advance of March 5 , 19 71 and the necessity of notifying the Board of Elections <br />of Cuyahoga County of the salary of the Director of Finance to be filled under the <br />provisions of this Charter in the November election of 1971, in order for said Board <br />of Elections to establish the filing fees for the office of the Director of Fiezaaee , <br />which filing date expires March 5 , 19 71. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: 9.~/ <br />ATTEST• ~~' <br />`~~ ~ Li~'c..~-G- <br />Nora T.
