<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />'ORDINANCE N0. 70-153 <br /> <br />., <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION <br />AND COMPOSITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED; ESTABLISHING <br />SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DE- <br />PARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED; ESTABLISHING THE PER DIEM <br />ALLOWANCE TO BE PAID TO THE POLICE EMPLOYEES <br />WHILE ATTENDING THE POLICE SCHOOL. <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that <br />it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of the members of <br />the Police Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart for the Police Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted (Chapter 139, Section 139.02 "Composition and <br />Classifications" of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances) shall read as <br />follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of <br />Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one (1) Secretary <br />and one (1) Clerk. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General Duty <br />Uniform Roster, which shall consist of Two (2) Captains; Three (3) Lieutenants; <br />Four (4) Sergeants; Twenty-Five (25) Patrolmen; Twenty-Five (25) Auxiliary <br />Police; Fourteen (14) School Guards; and One (1) Police Matron, part-time. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau <br />consisting of Four (4) of the Police personnel mentioned in Section 1, C, above. <br />One (1) member of the Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of <br />the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be classified <br />by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />Section 2. That effective April 1, 1970, and henceforth, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined <br />to be as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captain <br />Lieutenant of Police <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen for First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />$13,500.00 <br />$12,280.00 <br />$11,370.00 <br />$10,530.00 <br />$ 7,488.00 <br />$ 8,000.00 <br />$ 9,750.00 <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />;, <br />
