<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 70-148 <br />By: <br />r~ <br />e:.. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FIVE NEW POLICE <br />CARS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has been advised by the Director of Public <br />Safety that it is necessary that five new police cars be purchased <br />for use in the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, Council in order to facilitate the safety and security <br />of the City of North Olmsted desires to purchase five new police cars <br />for City Use, and to trade in toward the purchase price five police <br />cars now owned by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for five ne~ police cars to <br />be used in the City of North Olmsted, less an allowance for five <br />police cars now owned by the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, as per the <br />detailed specifications presently on file in his office. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the immediate <br />necessity of acquiring five new police cars so that the streets of <br />the City may be properly patrolled. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise <br />at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~ ,19"0 <br />ATTEST: <br />G~ <br />Nora T.
