s~ , ~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 70-104 <br />BY i~~~ ~.L..~~ <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 70-10, ENACTED <br />JANUARY 20, 1970, AND ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO ACT FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, IN <br />AN APPLICATION AND OTHER NECESSARY MATTERS FOR A FEDERAL <br />GRANT UNDER PUBLIC LAW 660 IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS <br />AND ADDITIONS TO THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 70-10, now reading as follows: <br />"Section 1. That Ralph E. Christman, Mayor of the City of <br />North Olmsted be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to submit an application to the United States Public Health <br />Service for Federal assistance under Public Law 660 and <br />further to furnish such information, data and documents <br />pertaining to the application and further to act as repre- <br />sentative of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in connection <br />with said application." <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 1. That Ralph E. Christman, Mayor of the City of <br />North Olmsted be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to submit an application to the U. S. Department of the <br />Interior, Federal Water Quality Administration for Federal <br />assistance under Public Law 660 and further to furnish such <br />information, data and documents pertaining to the applica- <br />tion and further to act as representative of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, in connection with said application. <br />Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of public <br />peace, health and safety, the emergency being the need for improve- <br />ments and additions to the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant, and as <br />such this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage by Council and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council; <br />otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ,Z_ ~'~'O _ <br />ATTEST: , <br />Nora T.
