<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO 70 - 99 <br />BY- <br />AN ORDINANCE MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br />CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, FOR THE YEAR ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 1970, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That to provide for current expenses and other expenditures <br />of the said City of North Olmsted during the year ending December 31, 1970, <br />the following addit3.ona1 sums be and they are hereby set aside and appropriated <br />as follows: <br />Section 2. That there be appropriated from the GENERAL FUND: <br />Service Equipment .........................$2,000 <br />Office equipment rental... .............. 325 <br />Civil Service Commission-Other............ 1,000 <br />Total .................$3,325 <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward an <br />attested copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />Section 4. That the City Finance Director is hereby authorized to <br />draw his warrants on the City Treasury for payments from any of the foregoing <br />appropriations upon receiving :proper certificates and vouchers therefor, <br />approved by the Board of Officers authorized by law to approve same, or an <br />Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make the expenditures; provided that no <br />warrants shall be drawn or paid for salaries or wages except to persons <br />employed by authority of aid in accordance with law or ordinance. Provided <br />further, that the appropriation for contingencies can only be expended upon <br />approval of two-thirds vote of Council for items of expense constituting a <br />legal obligation against the City and for purposes other than those covered <br />by the other specific appropriations herein made. <br />Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure by virtue of the fact that the transfer of funds and additonal <br />appropriations is necessary for the financial operation of the City of North <br />Olmsted and, relates to the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the <br />City of North Olmsted, Wherefore, this Ordinance shall take. effect immmediately <br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />ATTEST: G~`~•c~,~,..L /9~d <br />j~t,e.,t./ ,,~ ~ <br />Nora T.
