<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 70- <br />BY <br />A' <br />A RESOLUTION MEMORIALIZING THE MEMBERS <br />OF THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO CLARIFY <br />SECTION 3773..2 4 OR TO REPEAL SAME. <br />WHEREAS, Section 3773.24 of the Ohio Revised Code, commonly known <br />as the "Sunday Closing Law, "requires immediate attention ;and <br />WHEREAS, irrespective of each individual's personal opinion on this <br />subject, the open and flagrant violation of this law subjects all public officials' <br />law enforcement agencies and the courts to ridicule ;and <br />WHEREAS, the lack of uniform enforcement within this state and particularly <br />its counties creates an urgent need for the "Sunday Closing Law " to be clarified <br />in order that there can be uniform application of the "Sunday Closing Law " <br />throughout the State of Ohio, or, in the alternative the General Assembly should <br />repeal Section 3773.24 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. It is hereby urgently requested that both Houses of the General <br />Assembly clairfy or repeal existing Section 3773..24 of the Ohio Revised Code, for <br />the previously aforesaid reasons. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk be and she is hereby directed to forward a <br />certified copy of this Resolution to each member of the Cuyahoga County Dele- <br />gation to each House. <br />Section 3. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in foce <br />according to Article IV, Section 12 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br />PASSED: a <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
