.~ ' " , <br />r. „at <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 70 PAGE 2 <br />Section 3. The secretarial or clerical help of the Engineering Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of <br />$25.00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual <br />or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help, and shall be at the rate <br />of $25.00 for each and every year said secretary or clerical help has been con- <br />tinually employed by the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 4. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, that all <br />full time employees of the Engineering Department having completed five (5 ) <br />years of full time continuous service, as employees of said department, shall be <br />paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of <br />ten (10) years of full time continuous service, after which such employee shall <br />receive ~°~ of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of their fifteenth <br />( 15) year of continuous full time service, after which said employee shall receive <br />5% of their base annual salary until completion of their twentieth (20) year of <br />continuous full time service, and thereafter each year of full time thereby they <br />shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />Section 5. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department <br />shall receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Mayor <br />in emergencies ;New Year's Day ;Memorial Day ;Independence Day ;Labor Day; <br />Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day, and the employee's birthday. <br />Section 6. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department <br />shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) years full time service <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. <br />Section 7. That for al] full time hourly employees of the Engineering <br />Department, the City of North Olmstedshall pay an amount equal to a single <br />person's rate per month toward the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and <br />Medical Mutual premiums of said employees, as established by Contract 52YS, <br />effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. <br />Section S. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to,#orward a <br />copy of this ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Director of <br />Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth. <br />Section 9. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, <br />and especially Ordinance No. 69-23, are hereby repealed with the effective date <br />of this Ordinance. <br />Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the imrnediate necessity of adjusting <br />compensation for City employees so as to make such compensation commensurate <br />with the requirements of the various jobs. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ,~,?o <br />ATTEST: <br />.~~;~~ <br />/~~ <br />No ra T.
