The secretarial or clerical help of the Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of $25.00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help, and shall be at the rate of $25.00 for each and every year said secretary or clerical help has been con- tinually employed by the City of North Olmsted. Section 4. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, that all full time employees of the Engineering Department having completed five (5 ) years of full time continuous service, as employees of said department, shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten (10) years of full time continuous service, after which such employee shall receive ~°~ of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of their fifteenth ( 15) year of continuous full time service, after which said employee shall receive 5% of their base annual salary until completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and thereafter each year of full time thereby they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. Section 5. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department shall receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Mayor in emergencies ;New Year's Day ;Memorial Day ;Independence Day ;Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day, and the employee's birthday. Section 6. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) years full time service Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. Section 7. That for al] full time hourly employees of the Engineering Department, the City of North Olmstedshall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month toward the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said employees, as established by Contract 52YS, effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. Section S. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to,#orward a copy of this ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth. Section 9. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 69-23, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the imrnediate necessity of adjusting compensation for City employees so as to make such compensation commensurate with the requirements of the various jobs.
