BY: ~~ ~_ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PART 13, ENTITLED , " BUILDING CODE ", TITLE ONE, ENTITLED , " RESIDENTIAL STANDARDS ", CHAPTER 1301, ENTITLED " REGIONAL DWELLING CODE ", ADOPTED SECTION 1301.05, EI~TTITLED, " A- MENDMENTS TO REGIONAL DWELLING HOUSE CODE ", PARAGRAPH E. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1. That Part 13, entitled, "Building Code ", Title One, entitled, "Residential Standards ", Chapter 1301, entitled , "Regional Dwelling Code ", and 1301.05, entitled, "Amendments to Regional Dwelling House Code ", Paragraph E now reading as follows Section 1321.33 National Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning .Codes. " The National Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Code . " be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : Paragraph E. Chimenvs, Flues and Gas Vents. That Chapter 59, entitled, "Chimneys, Flues and Gas Vents " of the Regional Dwelling House Code be amended to read as follows ; 1. Any new dwelling, new building, or new structure having basement, cellar or utility room will have one masonry or Class " A "flue and be in compliance with Chapter 59 - Chimneys, Flues and Gas Vents of Regional Dwelling House Code . 2. Exception : Any new dwelling, new building or new structure having a " closet "type space for heating appliance, which produce flue gas temperatures not in excess of 550° F. and is approved by a building official may be connected to a Class " B "vent conforming to Chapter 59 - Chemenys, Flues and Gas gents of Regional Dwelling House Code . 3. All factory built type A and B gas vents shall terminate above roof line in a gas vent housing designed for use with the vent, or chimeny. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances, or resolutions or parts of resolutions are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance.
