<br />-.~. <br />CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73-x.3.2 <br />~. <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPAIRS <br />TO SANITARY SEWERS ,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Wastewater Treatment Plant and System is a Public Utility <br />of the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has advised the Finance Committee of <br />Council and the Streets and Drainage Committee of Council that the necessary <br />funds are set aside in the Bewer Revenue Fund ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has further informed the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted that it is imperative that the repairs, as set forth <br />in the specifications and plans now on file, be .made ;and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the necessary monies are available <br />in the Sewer Revenue Fund ;and <br />WHEREAS, Council is now of the opinion that the repairs are necessary to <br />protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of North Olmsted and, there- <br />fore, that these repairs must be made in order to relieve the problems now existing <br />in the sanitary sewers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for repairs to certain sanitary sewers ,located in the City <br />of North Olmsted, designated by zones or areas as established by the Engineering <br />I~partment of the City of North Olmsted according to records, inspection reports, <br />and specifications now on file. <br />Section 2. That upon approval of the Board of Control the Mayor is <br />authorized to enter into a contract or contracts and execute same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the city by virtue of the fact that it is necessary to repair <br />sanitary sewer lines WHEREF08E, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed <br />by law. <br />PASSED: -'~-~-~c.~C.. ~C~. /,f 1.~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~~ <br />Nora T.
