<br />BY : ~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 73 - /off <br />~~:,,~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT, <br />CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION, AND INTER OFFICE <br />COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, INSTALLATION AND SERVICE, FOR <br />THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING NOW <br />UNDER COIWSTRUCTION AND FOR TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT FOR <br />THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has advised Council and the Finance <br />Committee of Council that several companies wish to submit bids for the installation, <br />maintenance and repair of the necessary telephone system, closed circuit television <br />and inter office communication system in the North Olmsted Police Station which is <br />now under construction and for the installation, maintenance and repair for <br />telephone equipment of the Administration Building; and <br />WHEREAS, Council under the Charter of the City of North Olmsted and the <br />laws of the State of Ohio are mandated to accept the lowest and best bid and <br />further wishes to furnish the Police Department and the Administration Building <br />of the City of North Olmsted with the best communication system available. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for a telephone communication system, closed circuit television <br />and inter office communication system to be installed in the Police Department <br />now under construction within the City of North Olmsted and for telephone <br />equipment installed in the Administration Building. <br />Section 2. That upon approval of the Board of Control the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of <br />the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity to make pro+risions for <br />equipment in the construction of the new building.
