<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73- ~~~ <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING <br />COMMISSIONER TO PROCEED WITS°THE DEMO- <br />LITION OR REMOVAL OF THE DWELLINGS ON <br />PERMANENT PARCEL NO. 233-9-4, LORAIN <br />ROAD, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO. <br />x.,, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1331.01 - 1331.99 <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building Commissioner <br />has determined that the abandoned dwellings known as Permanent Parcel No. 233- <br />9-4 and located at 30178 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, the record title holder <br />is Dorsey's Restaurant, Inc. , c% Mr. Oscar Zimmerman, is unsafe, dangerous to <br />human life and a hazard to the safety, health and welfare of the citizens of North <br />Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove and demolish said buildings was served <br />by certified mail on said record title holder on April 5, 1973, ordering said title <br />holder to repair, remove or demolish said dwellings and to commence such repair, <br />removal or demolition within forty-eight hours (48) of receipt of said notice ;and <br />WHEREAS, said notice informed the record title holder of his right to appeal <br />the condemnation order of the Building Commissioner within fifteen days (15) ;and <br />WHEREAS, said record title holder, Dorsey's Restaurant, Inc. , c% Mr. Oscar <br />Zimmerman ,failed to file an appeal within the fifteen (15) days and has failed to <br />comply with the order of the Building Commissioner. <br />NOW, ~A'EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the demolition and <br />removal of the dwellings or accessory buildings at 30178 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, by reason of the fact that said dwellings have been determined to be dangerous <br />to human life and a hazard to the public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of <br />the City of North Olmsted, and that the cost of said demolition and removal be paid <br />from the General Fund of the City of North Olmsted and charged to the owner as a <br />special assessment or lien on said parcel of land, and assessed and collected in the <br />manner of other assessments as provided by law. <br />Section Z. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby direct to forward to <br />Dorsey's Restaurant, Inc. , c% Mr. Oscar Zimmerman at 1220 East 6th Street, Cleveland, <br />Ohio, 44114, a copy of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3.
