<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO, 73-~~ <br />BY: <br />/- <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPEN- <br />5ATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK <br />OF COUNCIL AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. <br />72-86, ENACTED JUNE 6, 1972, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City <br />of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council thereby <br />requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the <br />duties of the Clerk of Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase the <br />compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the position of <br />Clerk of Council as a full time job. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full time position and <br />effective January 1, 1973, the compensation to be paid to the said Clerk of <br />Council, shall be between the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and <br />00/100 ($5, 350.00) Dollars to Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Two <br />and 00/100 ($7, 852.00) Dollars annually. <br />Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and is hereby directed <br />and authorized to pay to the Glerk of Council a sum which shall be established <br />by the Council of the City of North Olmsted between Five Thousand Three <br />Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($5, 350.00) Dollars to Seven Thousand Eight Hun- <br />dred Fifty Two and 00/100 ($7, 852.00), Dollars annually, in bi-weekly <br />installments for the services performed by said Clerk of Council, which shall <br />include those services required to be performed by the.Members of Council, <br />under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to <br />time be determined to be necessary to be performed and which shall be deter- <br />mined by Council, and shall include the necessity of preparing a list of names <br />and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment <br />proceedings determined to be necessary b~ Council, and the names and <br />addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all <br />notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improve- <br />ments authorized by Council. <br />Section 3: The Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity increment, <br />the sum of $25. 00 for each and every year said Clerk of Council has been <br />continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. To be paid in a lump sum <br />on anniversary date of employment. <br />Section 4: That for the Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month toward the <br />cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual or with the Kaiser <br />Community Health Foundation Plan. <br /> <br />
