CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO, 73-~~ BY: /- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPEN- 5ATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 72-86, ENACTED JUNE 6, 1972, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council thereby requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the duties of the Clerk of Council; and WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the position of Clerk of Council as a full time job. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full time position and effective January 1, 1973, the compensation to be paid to the said Clerk of Council, shall be between the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($5, 350.00) Dollars to Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Two and 00/100 ($7, 852.00) Dollars annually. Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and is hereby directed and authorized to pay to the Glerk of Council a sum which shall be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted between Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($5, 350.00) Dollars to Seven Thousand Eight Hun- dred Fifty Two and 00/100 ($7, 852.00), Dollars annually, in bi-weekly installments for the services performed by said Clerk of Council, which shall include those services required to be performed by the.Members of Council, under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to time be determined to be necessary to be performed and which shall be deter- mined by Council, and shall include the necessity of preparing a list of names and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment proceedings determined to be necessary b~ Council, and the names and addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improve- ments authorized by Council. Section 3: The Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of $25. 00 for each and every year said Clerk of Council has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. To be paid in a lump sum on anniversary date of employment. Section 4: That for the Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month toward the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual or with the Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan.
