Mme., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE No. ~,,,~"~~ <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PiIRCHASE OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE CITY <br />DEPARTMENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has recommended to Council that <br />the City is in need of additional real property on which to construct a new <br />City Departments building, and; <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be to the best <br />interests of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted that real property <br />purchased to enable the construction of a city departments building. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That the Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized to <br />enter into an agreement to purchase the premise known as 5270 Dover Center <br />Road for a price not to exceed Thirty-two thousand and 00/100 ($32,000) <br />Dollars, (subject to adjustment for proration of taxes, escrow fee and <br />other closing costs), such purchase agreement to be in such form as may <br />be approved by the Director of Law. Said parcel of real estate is hereby <br />determined to be necessary for the addition of a new city departments <br />building and the purchase price thereof and all other costs incidental to <br />such purchase shall bie paid from the sale of bonds. <br />Section 2: That the Mayor is further authorized to accept the <br />deed conveying title to such premise to the City and to file it for record. <br />Section 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the immediate <br />purchase of said real estate and building is necessary to provide urgently <br />needed space for the construction of city departments building. WHEREFORE, <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~~«~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
