CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 1E 7 BY? 1 AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS ESTABLISHED BY AN D SET FORTH IN ARTICLE VI, SECTION LTHROUGH 7 INCLUSIVE, OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, SETTING FORTH THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ACCORDING TO THE CHARTER SETTING FORTH THE COMPENSATEON TO BE PAID THE SECRETARY TO THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in Article VI, Section I through 7, inclusive, sbts forth the membership of the Civil Service Commission of the City of North Olmsted ; and WHEREAS, Council wishes to adopt Organizational Charts for all employees in the City of North Olmsted for the purposes of identification as to duties performed and remuneration received ; and WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission employs certain personnel to assist them in their duties as established by the Charter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1. That the Civil Service Commission previously created by the Charter in Article VI. Section I through 7, inclusive, with a membership of three ( 3) members appointed by the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted for six ( 6) year terms shall elect a Chairman by majority vote and may appoint a Secretary, who shall not be &member of the Commission. Section 2. That the compensation paid to the Secretary to the Civil Service Commission shall be $150.00 per month, payable monthly, retroactive to November l, 1968. Section 3. That all other ordinances or resolution, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent to the provisions of this ordiance and es- pecially Ordinance No. 67-45, enacted March 7,1967, and Ordinance No. 67- 212, enacted September 5, 1967, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 4. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to mail a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Department and the Civil Service Commission. Section S. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for thepreservation of the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City by virtue of making effective the pay increase provided for in Section 1 hereof, which is necessitated by the increase volume of work.
