CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 68-16 J <br />BY <br />AN ORDTNANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER XNTO A CONTRACT WtTH THE CITY OF <br />CLEVELAND FOR THE DETENTION OF PRISONERS <br />OF THE CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AN D DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has previously lodged thei.r <br />prisoners in the Cuyahoga County jail ; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cuyahoga has notified the City of North <br />Olmsted they will no longer receive or lodge prisoners of the Ci,ty of North <br />Olmsted ; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cleveland has notified the Mayor of the City <br />of North Olmsted that upon execution of a contract they will accept and <br />lodge prisoners of the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Councril of the City of <br />Tvorth Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1, That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract with <br />the City of Cleveland for the confinement and lodging of prisoners of the City <br />of North Olmsled. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety,' <br />health and welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virtue of the fact that the <br />City of North Olmsted does not have facilities : for the lodging of prisoners <br />and must make immediate arrangements for the confinement and lodging of <br />prisoners.
