CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 68-160 BY A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DELBERT E. LIMPERT FOR SERVICES RENDERED AS DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUBLIC SERVICE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Delbert E. Limpert has served as Safety-Service Director for a period of time exceeding four and one-half ( 4 1/2 ) years ; and WHEREAS, during the tenure in office of Delbert E. Limpert the popu- lation in the City of North C>lmsted grew at a rapid rate requiring and receiving additional services from both the Safety Department and Service Department ; and WHEREAS, Delbert E. Limpert was instrumental in increasing the efficiency of both the Safety Department and Service Department during the years of popu- lation expansion ; and WHEREAS, Delbert E. Limpert personnally worked to obtain for the City of North Olmsted a federal grant from the Federal Open Space Program to in- crease recreational facilities for the residents of the City of North Olmsted ; and WHEREAS, Delbert E. Limpert personnally conceived and carried into effect the North Olmsted " Operation Face Lift " program ; and WHEREAS, Delbert E. Limpert gave unstintingly of his time to his duties as is evidence by his attendance at meetings ; and WHEREAS, as a result of Delbert E. Limpert's tenure in office as Safety - Service Director the citizens of North Olmsted have benefited immeasurably ;and WHEREAS, Council now wishes to go on record commending DELBERT E. LIMPERT for his faith ful service to the City of North Olmsted, and to show their appreciation for a job well done. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1. That the Council of the City of North Olmsted wishes to commend Delbert E. Limpert, otheYVVise known as " DEL " for services rendered to the City of North Olmsted as Safety-Service Director for the years 1964, 1965, 1966,1967, and up to and including July 31, 1968 . Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is instructed to forward a certified and conformed copy of this resolution to Delbert E. Limpert. Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage,otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. ?
