CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- ?4:; PAGE 2 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and during each year of full time seniicethereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth , no credit shall be given for part- time serviees, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits t-hich may be due them for part-time serv3ce as employees in the Building Department. Section 3. That the Building Commissioner shall be in charge of the Building Department, establishing the hours to be worked and the duties to be performed by all employees of the Building Department. Section 4. That the employees of the Building Department shall not be required to work on the following holidays: New Years Day; Memorial DaY; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, unless requested to by the Building Commissioner in an emergency. Section S. That for each full time Inspector of the Building Department and full time hourly employees of the Building Department, the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization a nd Medical Mutual premiums of said inspectors, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. Section 6. That any other Ordinance or Resolution, or parts of Ordinances or parts of Resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 7. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the Finance Director for the:: payment of remuneration as set forth above. Section 8. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that there is an immediate necessity of adjusting compensation for City employees ao as to make such compensation commensurate with the requirments of the various jobs. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, other- wise, at the earliest period allowed by law. PAS SE D: ? - .
