CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- ?4:; PAGE 2 <br />5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of <br />continuous full time service and during each year of full time seniicethereafter <br />they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longevity increments hereinabove set forth , no credit shall be given for part- <br />time serviees, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee <br />of any other benefits t-hich may be due them for part-time serv3ce as employees <br />in the Building Department. <br />Section 3. That the Building Commissioner shall be in charge of the <br />Building Department, establishing the hours to be worked and the duties to be <br />performed by all employees of the Building Department. <br />Section 4. That the employees of the Building Department shall not be <br />required to work on the following holidays: New Years Day; Memorial DaY; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, unless <br />requested to by the Building Commissioner in an emergency. <br />Section S. That for each full time Inspector of the Building Department <br />and full time hourly employees of the Building Department, the City of North <br />Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards <br />the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization a nd Medical Mutual premiums of said <br />inspectors, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. <br />Section 6. That any other Ordinance or Resolution, or parts of Ordinances <br />or parts of Resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance <br />are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 7. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a <br />copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the Finance Director <br />for the:: payment of remuneration as set forth above. <br />Section 8. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that there is an immediate necessity of <br />adjusting compensation for City employees ao as to make such compensation <br />commensurate with the requirments of the various jobs.
