<br />CITY OF IVORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 13? PAGE 2 <br />A: Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be <br />paid an additional 3% ot their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the <br />tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall <br />receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereaf.ter until the completion of the 15th <br />year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary <br />until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and <br />during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their <br />base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />B: In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time <br />services, but such limiation is only for the purpose of computing longvity in- <br />crements and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in the Safety Department. <br />C: In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including officers shall <br />on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appoint- <br />ment, receive $300.00 clothing allowance and shall , during each calendar year <br />thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed <br />by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. <br />D: For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City of <br />North Olmsted, shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month <br />towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums <br />of said members of the Fire Department, as established by Contract 52YS <br />effective the 22nd day of May, 19 65. <br />Section 3: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinances and <br />especially Ordinance No. 68-134 are he_reby repealed with the effective date of <br />this Ordinance. <br />Section 4: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />mail a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Department and Fire Chief. <br />Section 5: That this Ordinance is hereby decla red to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City <br />of North Olmsted by virtue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increas- <br />ing the moral and effectiveness of inembers of the Safety Department.
