CITY OF IVORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 13? PAGE 2 A: Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 3% ot their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereaf.ter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. B: In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limiation is only for the purpose of computing longvity in- crements and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in the Safety Department. C: In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including officers shall on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appoint- ment, receive $300.00 clothing allowance and shall , during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. D: For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City of North Olmsted, shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Fire Department, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 19 65. Section 3: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinances and especially Ordinance No. 68-134 are he_reby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 4: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to mail a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Department and Fire Chief. Section 5: That this Ordinance is hereby decla red to be an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virtue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increas- ing the moral and effectiveness of inembers of the Safety Department.
